As I was getting the picture ready for this blog post. I was happy to have a flimsy completed! However, the picture showed me that I have a bit of unstitching to do.
Do you see the mistakes? I have no idea how the green squares on the left and right borders got there. And there is a blue and white half-square triangles on each side that needs to be re-oriented (again!). The sides should look exactly like the top and bottom … sigh …
Now, the search is on for the white fabric … where did I put it?

Hey, it happens to all of us. That’s why I keep a seam ripper in every sewing basket and Go Bag I have. Beautiful fabrics! Can’t wait to see it finished!

Oh no! But to be honest with you it is so symmetrical that if it wasn’t for the fact that you are calling it an ‘oopsie’ I would have assumed it was your design intent. Although I do think if it bothers you it is worth fixing. 🙂

Looks lovely! I’d be fixing the oopsys too. They’d drive me nuts. Unless I can spin it as a “design enhancement” LOL

Sometimes I can live with design enhancements … but not in this case! I’ll be posting a picture when it’s fixed!

I hate it when that happens! I have an abandoned quilt in the closet for the last 8 years just because I don’t want to fix it! I can’t wait to see it done!

Hi Kara … usually when I’m piecing, if I see a mistake, I rip it out immediately. Obviously, I didn’t see this oops right away. However, your comment has encouraged me to fix the ‘oops’ today! Thanks!

You actually just flipped some pieces and put them in the wrong order. Everything you need is there. Just rearrange it! :0)

I actually really like the blue lines going off like that!

If it didn’t have the green squares, I probably would have left it. But, since I’m ripping – I might as well do both! 🙂

It’s amazing what photos bring out… the good and the not so good. Great design and your border fabric is beautiful.

At least its symmetrical, you could leave it, but I would fix it too :).

Believe me – I seriously thought about leaving it, but it would always bug me – so I have to fix it!
