We’ve had a LOT of company over the last 2 weeks and we were away for 4 days, so not much sewing has gotten done. I’m still working on this Irish chain. I have about 5 more wreaths to do, then the border, make the label and do the binding. Hopefully by next week I can call this UFO done, done, done!

I feel your pain. We’re doing what is the final cleanup at our house, before the realtor starts showing it this coming week. I did do a little binding work and that felt great!

Uggh… having to show your house is bad enough, but not being able to sew … that’s close to being a sin! 🙂

What a lovely quilt! The colors are perfect for fall. I like the wreaths – I can’t believe you do all that detail on a domestic sewing machine. Impressive!

Thanks! I’m not a perfectionist, so it’s easy to do on my domestic machine … just a small area at a time!

Hi Gail,
Beautiful quilt and lovely wreathes. It will be wonderful to have it finished and in use. Is it for yourself or are you giving it away? Just curious. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne,
I’m not sure yet if it will be kept or given away. I find that sometimes I just know and at others, it takes a while for the quilt to speak to me.

Hi Gail,
I know just what you mean about the quilt speaking to you! And sometimes you see a pattern or fabric and just know who to make it for, and other times you just want to make it because you love it. ~smile~ Roseanne

I am in awe! Those wreaths on a domestic machine? I want to learn that!!

They were actually easy to learn – way easier than regular feathers! Sally Terry’s book “Hooked on Feathers” taught me how to do them.
