A UFO bites the dust!

YES!1!  This winter table runner is DONE!!!  (And, I couldn’t resist taking a picture of it beside some crocuses!  (Look carefully and you’ll see a couple of purple flowers!)

Hobbs batting 80/20 was used. I used a very light blue thread and graffiti quilted the white areas.  The blue I outlined the triangles and did a flower thingy in the middle of the dark blue squares.  I thoroughly enjoyed quilting it!  Here are some close-ups:

Tomorrow, I’m taking a guild bus trip to a quilt show in Monroe Washington.  I hope I don’t see any fabric that talks to me!!!   🙂  But I am looking forward to seeing all the quilts!

  1. Hi Gail, your quilting is really lovely. I love that it adds beautiful texture on the white background but can be seen in the middle blocks. Your piece will be featured on this week’s Free Motion Mavericks. Thanks so much for linking up.

    • Thank you Michelle … it’s true, practice, practice practice. Plus … I have a bit of an attitude when free motion quilting … “if it isn’t absolutely horrid – leave it in.” Gives me freedom to do what I want and get it done!!!
      Happy Quilting! 🙂

  5. Hi Gail, I LOVE your table runner — we are making the same star in our quilting group the last half of this month! I’m using red/green/gold for Christmas! I can’t wait to show the ladies your runner! As always your quilting is awesome!

    • Hi Karla!
Thank you! I hope you don’t make this star the HARD way! I wasted more fabric than I used by following the directions! I can’t wait to see what you and your ladies make!! Be sure to post a picture of what you all do! (Even if it’s part blocks!)
And your Christmas colours will be great!
      Happy Quilting! 🙂
