The Quilt Police

Image result for Quilt police cartoonOh – they exist!  They really really do!!!  And there’s even a blog to prove it!

If you go to THIS POST, you can read her introduction.  And although she is a police woman, and was teased about being the Quilt Police (hense her blog name), she asserts that she is NOT the Quilt Police. unknown-jpg

She is a scrappy quilter (a woman after my own heart!) and has currently been posting a series of different blocks.  It is worth going to take a look at her blog!

Conclusion:

There is a Quilt Police blog, but Quilt Police really do not exist.

SEW … what have I been working on?

I’ve been working on my secret project, started an 2nd secret project and have been working on this paper piecing quilt as a leader and ender. This is a UFO from 2016.  fullsizeoutput_a6d

OK … SEW, now you’re asking how I can paper piece as a leader & ender?  Doesn’t that involve switching stitch lengths and every thing?  Well, for those that know me, I paper piece without sewing on the paper.  Yes, it can be done!  This is the 4th quilt I’ve made from this Judy Neimeyer pattern (Fractured Paint Box)  and I have lots of papers left to make more quilts from this pattern.

Happy Quilting!

  1. Too funny about the quilt police! You had me worried for a moment, I’ve always been worried that the quilt police will find me and lock me up 🙂 Love the quilt you are working on!

  2. Cute story about the quilt police! Love the leader and ender project, I really need to use up some scraps that way, although I fear that I’ll run into the hot mess problem. Love your blocks and look forward to your secret sewing.

  3. Hi Gail! I love the fabrics you chose for your fourth Fractured Paint Box quilt. And another UFO, too – how sweet is that?! It reminds me of a Tiffany lamp – it will look gorgeous on a bed or as a lap quilt. Happy Friday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne
