New Sewing Room!

I am mostly moved into my sewing room!!!  YEAH!!!  It’s a big room, but I still don’t have everything in it!  All of my batting will eventually find a spot.  But at least I have all my machines (except a treadle, named Stella) and my tools in one room!  My treadle is named “Stella” after the lady that gifted it to me!

In the video, you will see the serger on a table behind my Janome 8900 – the machine I do all my quilting on.  When I move the serger, it gives me a bigger table space for my quilt! Which is perfect for quilting those large queen sized quilts!

  2. Great space! It must feel so good to have everything just so. Makes you so productive. I’m so jealous of all those neatly organized and labeled bins! Would love to have something like that so I can find stuff when I need it. Wishing you all the best in your new space. Thanks for sharing it with Wednesday Wait Loss.

    • Thanks, Jennifer!
LOL!!! Just because it’s neatly organized and labeled, that doesn’t mean it will stay that way and it also doesn’t mean that I can always find what I’m looking for! 🙂
Thanks for hosting Wednesday Wait Loss!

    • Thanks, Emily! It’s been a LONG time coming! And lots of things aren’t finished yet … the doors, the windows … but at least I’m in and can sew in it! 🙂
      Happy Quilting! 🙂

  5. Hi Gail! Beautiful East windows and I love that stained glass hanging your friend made for you. Perfect place to hang and enjoy it! I also love your ironing station – what a nice size. Your shelves are well stocked and organized – the whole room is a dream to work in. I’ll bet you love it! Thanks for the tour – I enjoyed it. ~smile~ Roseanne

    • Hi Roseanne!
Thank you! It is organized at the moment … but knowing how I work, I’m sure my husband has placed bets that it won’t stay organized for very long!! 🙂 And he’s probably correct!
      Happy Quilting! 🙂

    • Hi Terry! So far, I like it! I like having my machines in one room! I like having my fabric (most of it) in one place. I’m loving the design wall! I also like how I won’t need to clear off the spare bed with Gina coming for a sleep-over!
It is a little strange having to go downstairs instead of upstairs to sew … but I’m sure I’ll get use to it. Plus, I’m closer to the washer and dryer – which is handy for washing fabrics & quilts! 🙂
      Happy Quilting! 🙂

    • Hi Connie,
I had to laugh when I read that you showed Paul my bins!!! I’m glad he now thinks your stash isn’t too bad! Yes, the cutting table! I love it! Costco has them and they are pretty reasonable!
      Happy Quilting! 🙂
