3D Challenge #1 is HERE. 3D Challenge #2 is HERE.
This is Alice the Alpaca … 3D Challenge #3 …
She joins Randy the Rhino
They are posing in front of the serger cover that I made for Challenge #2. You can read more about how the serger cover is made from this POST.
Both Randy and Alice are made from patterns from Funky Friends Factory! If you sign up for the Funky Friends newsletter, you can get a free pattern for a bear! The patterns are easy to follow with on-line picture tutorials. I hope you decide that you HAVE to have these wonderful Funky Friends in your life!
Alice’s eyes are made with 3/8″ button eyes, so she will not be gifted to a young child. (Sam with Randy) I think they are both great additions to my sewing room!
The fabric for Funky Friends is from Island Batik and I used Aurifil thread #2000 to sew them together.

You have time! Well, I shouldn’t say that – I know that you work and are busy with your son … but, perhaps she’ll get it for New Years! 🙂

These are great! Love seeing the alapaca with the rhino; they are just so wonderful. I liked making the ones I did, except I always got the floppy footed ones….these are nice as they stand!

Hi Gail! Aww, Alice it is a pleasure to meet you. You and Randy look like you are great friends already. Gail, these are so cute. I can see Addison or Dominic having conversations with either of them once they’re a little older. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne!
You should make these for Dominic & Addison!!! Just put child-safe eyes and you’ll be good to go!
A friend of mine is picking up some child-safe eyes for me … then I can make them as baby/child gifts! Woo hoo!
Happy Quilting! 🙂
