YEAH, I LOVE retreats!!! They are always lots of fun! Lots of chatting and laughing and eating and sewing and laughing and eating and … oh ya, lots of fun!
I hope to work on a few UFOs … we’ll see how that goes!
Design Wall
Piecing:
Summer Solstice: This section of 8 is done! Spending 15 min / day worked! Often it turned out to be closer to an hour … it takes a LOT of time when you need to take out the little tiny stitches that you can barely see!
Frolic: Bonnie Hunter’s Mystery: All caught up .. and everything fits in this container. I suspect that the reveal may come soon … either this week or next … and I’ll be ready!
52 Blocks in 52 weeks: Waiting until Blocks 53 & 54 are announced and then I’ll make the last 4 blocks … (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!)
Quilting:
Ode to 30’s has some quilting done. I’m taking it to the retreat and hope it’s a finished quilt by the end of the retreat!

Thanks for linking up to the 15 minutes to stitch post last week. With the retreat you should have lots of stitching time for this week.

Hi Gail! Oh, Summer Solstice is really stunning. WOW. I adore the fabrics you chose – getting a nice closeup shot like you shared really shows the fabrics and how perfect they are for this piece. I LOVE that quote that Gladys shared with you. I wonder if she would mind if I stole it and added it to the weekly post?! If you think of it, would you ask her? In fact, I’ll go find her comment and ask her myself. That just represents exactly how I feel about the to-do list – it’s not supposed to be stressful. Good luck with your projects at the retreat – I know you’ll have fun – and thank you in advance for linking up. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne!
Thank you! I’m liking Summer Solstice … just not the frequent un-sewing that happens when I paper piece! I’m sure that as long as you say it’s a quote from Gladys Taber, you should be fine!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

Thank you, Deana!
I have no idea of what the fabric is … I just know that I bought it at Fabric Depot in Portland several years before they closed.
I’m looking forward to this quilt being finished, but that’s going to take a while!
Happy Quilting! 🙂
