Another UFO??? Finished!

Yup!  I finished another UFO … this one was not on my official list for PHD in 2020 (see HERE).  But, it was a UFO that I found last year as I went through ALL of my bins as I was moving into my studio.

These were left-overs from a Seminole quilt that I made eons ago.  The left-over strips were too nice to just discard, so I made them into pouches.  The photo above shows the 4 zipper pouches that were made.  Each side is different from the other.

I needed a gift for the “secret” gift exchange at the retreat last weekend … and I thought, “why not finish up a UFO?”  So, I did!  The one one the bottom right was the one that was gifted.

Island Batik Unboxing Videos

This month, all of the Island Batik Ambassadors are assigned a day to show their unboxing videos.  (My date is Jan. 29).  As this post goes live, the ambassadors that have already posted are above the arrows  ⇒⇒⇒ and I have provided direct links so that you don’t have to go searching their blogs.   Everyone gets different lines of fabrics … it’s worth going to see, so you can drool over the fabric!

    • Thanks, Jennifer! It was a fun quilt to make. There were about 4 or 5 of us making it. Most of my friends bitterly complained about the tiny pieces! 🙂 But they finished the quilt and were very proud of themselves when they finished!

      There’s still a few days left in January … each one went by just like all the other days that pass way too quick!
      You might not have looked at a UFO, but I know you finished a project that you started … and finished it in a day!

    • Thanks, Emily! I love it too! The only problem was that the pieces were cut very tiny for the seminole quilt (like 1″) that you didn’t get to see the print. But, in the bags, you do! 🙂

    • Thanks, Ann! It’s easy to forget when things are stuffed into a box and put in another box which is put at the back of a closet with piles of other stuff on top of it! It’s really not hard at all!!! 🙂

  14. WHAT???!!! Hi Gail! Are you kidding me – you ARE a UFO finishing machine lately. Knock ’em down and get ’em out of the way. Lots of goodness in this post – those pouches are so darn cute. And what a great use of extra pieces that we just waiting to be used. January 29th is a great day – I have two friends with birthdays then. I know I’ll be back either way.
