Stay At Home Round Robin: Part 5

Screen Shot 2020-03-14 at 4.34.42 PM

The squares on the blue Round Robin quilt are square in a square.  They finish at 4½” unfinished.  I used dies #5 & #6 from the 8″ Go Cube.  They were super quick to cut and then sew!  I’m loving the variety of Island Batik blues in this quilt!

Here is a close-up of the square-in-a-square blocks.

The purple squares are 2½” squares that go every which way.  They were a lot of fun to make!  I randomly added white to each side of the square, then I place a 4½” ruler over the square and cut.  I didn’t worry about the orientation of the square!

Linky Party:

Here is a Linky Party for you to show off your work!  You have a few options for posting … you can post a link to your blog, a link to your Instagram or a link to a Pinterest page.

Even if you’re not participating in the Stay at Home Round Robin – go visit the linking blogs to see what they are doing.  Do you see the one that put it on point?  That’s part of the freedom of a Round Robin – I LOVE it!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Next Round: Part 6

This is the final round!  It will be stars!  You can make them however you want!  I haven’t started them yet, but maybe, just maybe, I’ll have the purple quilt done.  Most of the quilting is already done, so it might be a quick finish … or it might not get done … time will tell!

A Friday Finish

I showed this quilt on Wednesday’s post.  You can read about it HERE.

  2. This round of the robin is my favorite so far! Both quilts are wonderful. Thanks for sharing them and also sharing Anita’s Arrowhead on Wednesday Wait Loss. Gorgeous.

  3. Hi Gail! Oooh-la-la! I love those purple any-whichway-but-loose square-in-a-square blocks. Unbelievably, I am working on a new project made from wonky blocks. Since I couldn’t find any motivation from the current projects, why not start a new one, right?! I sure do love how this is coming along. ~smile~ Roseanne

    • Thanks, Roseanne! It’s fun to do something different on each quilt!
Glad your new wonky block project is motivating you to sew – that’s important!
      Happy Quilting! 🙂

  4. I really like how your round robins are coming along! Hubby made me stop with the first one, so I started another. That’s today’s link, with only the first round on it, though as of last night, 2 more rounds are finished. I’ll do the squares and stars today – the stars are so fitting with all the star fabric I’m using!
Thanks again for hosting this – I’ve had fun!

  6. I’ll have to go back and find out about this round robin….I am so far behind in blog reading. Your quilts look great. If things slow down at work, I might have to give it a try.
