Carla, from “Creatin in the Sticks” is the wonderful organizer for this week’s blog hop: Stitchin in the Kitchen.
I had several ideas of what to make … but none of them felt just right. Then I remembered this apron that was cut-out. It just needed to be sewn together. Nice and simple, right? And for once, it was a simple finish!!!

Great finish Gail. The apron design is unique and my eye sees that the possible facing for the edge was used to frame and design the front wrapping back to the ties. Brilliant!

Thanks Jane! The design is not my own. The pattern was borrowed from a friend.

Its funny how we get ideas, then they don’t really work for us. You landed of a fabulous one though. I love the heart fabric in your apron. You will be the most stylin’ cook in the kitchen! I’m so sorry I’m behind in my blog reading, I didn’t forget you! 😉

Nice apron, Gail! I love aprons, but rarely use them. I remember my mama always wearing an apron when making lunch after church. Funny, I don’t remember her wearing one other times! Fond memories!
