A Finish for TGIFF!

For those of you that may not be aware, TGIFF is a weekly linky party, hosted by a variety of bloggers. TGIFF stands for Thank Goodness It’s Finished Friday.

SEW … what have I finished? I have finished my “Follow Your Own Path,” designed by Sandra Walker at MMMQuilts!

I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, the multi-coloured background is not consistent. But with elongated swirls on the background and straight lines on the arrows … I think it turned out OK.

You might notice that the bottom left binding is not complete … I’m waiting for a special little one to be born and when I know the details, the label will be made.

Here’s a closeup of the quilting …

  1. Perfect sentiment for a baby quilt! And the colors are gorgeous. I think with the quilting you can see the arrows well enough. Looks perfect. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.

  3. It looks great! My top is done, but I haven’t quilted it yet. I need to make a decision on quilting. I know the thread colour. LOL

  4. I absolutely love how it turned out Gail, especially the dot to dot work you did in the arrows! I had no clue you were in my QAL, (smacks forehead) but so happy to see this finish. Thank you for participating, and be sure to link this up on June 15 with the big parade!

  5. Ooh, I love how your swirly doodle-type quilting connects with the arrows in the piecing! This is fantastic and YES, that little one will be wrapped in stitches of love!

  7. Hi Gail! Oh my goodness!! Your FYOP turned out fabulous. The quilting really brings it over the top – it looks like clouds or wind blowing the arrows in each direction. The swirls alternating with the straight-line quilting on the arrows themselves really makes them stand out. What a great finish! Thanks for the linky party. I hope to share my Road-to-Retirement quilt tomorrow. Thankfully, it was a big hit. ~smile~ Roseanne
