SAHRR Starts! Center Block!

If you need more information on the SAHRR … you can go to THIS POST.

Centre Block

Here is my centre block. The birds and the flowers were cut with Accuquilt dies that I borrowed from our guild’s die collection. (Go! Birds and Rose of Sharon). This piece is 9.5″ x 12.5″. I will do the applique stitching when I quilt it. I used Island Batik fabrics from the Baby Bloomers collection (by Kathy Engle for Karen Overton) and solid white. I initially used the Baby Bloomer fabrics for a Lone Star Quilt you can see HERE.

Now, you Need to go to the co-hosts blogs and see their center blocks! Their links are in the schedule below.

  4. Hi Gail! I seem to be a bit out of the loop with not picking a bird for my center block. I love this – the fabric choices for the Rose of Sharon are just spot on. I look forward to seeing where you take this in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for the linky party! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

    • There is no link for any of the centre blocks … each person is to choose what their own centre block will be. Some choose to use an orphan block or a test block, some decide to design their own blocks … it’s totally up to you. Enjoy deciding what you will do! 🙂
