Quilt Canada 2024

I was away for almost 2 weeks while my husband and I took a holiday and drove to Edmonton for Quilt Canada. 🇨🇦

We camped in my sister’s back yard and 2 of my cousins (and a hubby) came from Ontario. We had a blast!

The quilts at the show were amazing and the video below is a small sample of them. Some are from my phone and some from my husbands … if there are duplicates, it’s my mistake. I did take pictures of all of the information beside each quilt, but did not include them in the slide show. If you wish for details on a specific quilt, please email me and I will send it to you. The pictures are in no specific order. Many of them won awards.

As you saw, I did not include pictures of the venders. There were a LOT and we all had fun shopping!

Favourite Finish of the Month

Yvonne, from Quilting Jet Girl, hosts a linky party with everyone’s favourite finishes of the month. There’s lots of wonderful eye candy – so check it out! It’s always hard for me to choose. This month, I have 3! You can read more about them HERE, HERE, and HERE.

    • Hi Kathleen! I didn’t buy a lot … but a picture of the fabric I bought is coming. I’ve already put away the rotary blades and a few other items I bought! It was great to be away, but I’m still itching to be quilting! LOL!!!

  1. I liked your video of the magnificent quilts so much that I watched it a 2nd time and would pause it to see the incredible details of the piecing and colors and design. OH, and the Dear Jane quilts blew me away. I have just started them and got wonderful ideas from the examples. Thanks ever so much for sharing. I might have to find this show and attend. I do enjoy visiting Canada, but have only been to 2 shows there.

  2. So many beautiful quilts! Loved the bird ones, the thread-painted animals, the quilting was phenomenal in so many of the quilts, but the Ha!Ha! Award goes to Santa and the Reindeer Pile-Up. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi Gail, what a wonderful show! Thanks so much for sharing. I hope to get to a Quilt Canada show when it comes closer to home, like Toronto or Ottawa. Glad you had a great time with family. Take care.

  4. What a fun slide show!!! I especially enjoyed seeing those beautiful quilt coats! A lot of times I think quilt coats look like bathrobes, but not these!!!
