I used a strip set from Island Batik called “Playful Purples” and Island Batik solid white for the background. If you want to use the same fabric, both the strip set and the solid white is available at Creekside Quilts HERE.
Here’s a picture of finish top. The binding is the left-over strips from the strip pack. I cut them into 12-18″ sections and joined them together.

And a close up picture of the quilting:

Quilt Stats:
- Size: 63″ x 75″
- Fabric: Island Batik Strip pack of Playful Purples and Solid White
- Thread:
- Quilting Rulers: Silly Moon‘s Rocket ruler for the straight lines and the 5″ Beanie for the curves
- Hobbs Batting Heirloom Premium Wool Batting
- Machine Quilted on: domestic Janome M7
Show & Tell
Here’s an opportunity for YOU to show us your quilt top (it doesn’t have to be finished). This link will be open until the end of November. You can also post a picture on Instagram and use #jellyrollmystery2024. OR you can email me a picture and I’ll post it on a future blog.
Another fun pattern! I don’t tend to collect jelly rolls, but this makes me want to see what I have in my 2 1/2″ strips!

Have fun, Kathleen!!! I know that one of the guild members made hers (is making??) it with strips from her stash.

I love this, Gail! Playful Purples is a favorite of mine! I love how you quilted the overlapping orange peels in the background and the straight lines in the purples! Great job!

Thanks, Brenda!! It was a fantastic strip pack to work with!! But, to be honest, all Island Batik fabric is a joy!
