Jelly Roll Mystery Quilt

The Jelly Roll Mystery Quilt is over. I was scrolling through Facebook and saw that a friend had made the quilt. She showed it at the guild meeting. Of course I was thrilled!!! Then she told me that she used the Island Batik Strip Set that she had won at our Loon Lake retreat in September. The strip set was from one of my absolute favourite collections, Pin Dot Floral (a signature collection for Megan Best). She did an awesome job!
Here’s a picture of Lynne and her quilt:

Stitching Stuff

Kate, from Life in Pieces, is hosting “Stitching Stuff” and the goal is to sew for at least 15 minutes a day. I use Kate’s guideline, but my personal goal is to sew for 30 minutes a day. On those “blah” days, it does motivate me to sit at my machine and 30 minutes often turns into several hours. Thank you Kate for the motivation!

Sunday Stash

Donna at Quilt Paint Create hosts a weekly linky party where you can display your stash numbers. This has really kept my stash from growing (somewhat!) Before I buy anything, I am always mindful of the fact that I need to report it on my blog … That sometimes stops me in my tracks! You can read about it HERE.
I finished this little Christmas card, but it’s so small, I’m not even going to count how much fabric it used!
- Fabric Used in the last week: 0 yards
- Fabric Used in 2024: 192 yards from non-IB: 80.5
- Fabric Added in the last week: 0 yards

How fun to see your mystery completed and shown at a guild meeting. I agree with your starting cartoon. A bit of stitching every day does wonders for one’s outlook on life.

Thanks, Kate!! I’m sure that there are people who don’t agree about stitching every day … but a lot of sewers/quilters will!

Love Lynne’s quilt. Pretty batik. I have some ideas for scrappy quilts, this is another one to add to that list. Squirrels? They ALWAYS pops in and make havocs! lol I can’t set up a to-do list, because I know if I do that, nothing on that list will be done! Good luck with yours!

LOL!!! I had to chuckle when I read about what you say about a “To Do” list … since mine is public for all the world to see, it does tend to motivate me to work on it! 🙂
