I used 1/2 yard for the TV top. No other projects completed, No fabric purchases.
I’m quilting on the Irish Chain. Some folks have trouble believing that I do this on my domestic sewing machine. I do most of my quilting on a Janome 8900. Sometimes, if the project is small I used my Janome 6500. Here’s pictures of a wreath in progress – on my Janome 8900. I have 14 wreaths completed – 17 more to do!

I started the year with 47 UFO’s. One UFO finished so far this month. I doesn’t look like I’ll finish the Irish Chain before the end of the month … so it’ll likely be a September finish.

I haven’t done a lot of machine quilting, but I always do it on my little domestic. So far I have had no issues. Your wreaths look fantastic! Andrea

Those wreaths look good to me. You give me hope for my own free motion quilting.

It just all gets done, one stitch at a time. When free motion quilting, I think the most important thing is to forget about all the fear and just go for it.

Hi Gail,
Those wreathes are beautiful. You can make them with no markings at all – just the center circle?!! WOWEE – that is so cool. I don’t think I’ll ever get there . . . ~smile~ Roseanne

Sure you will Roseanne. My feathers came from a book “Hooked on Feathers” by Sally Terry. It’s no longer in print, but if you can find a 2nd hand one (EBay or ???) then I’d snatch it up. They are sew much easier to stitch than regular feathers and there is no stitching over what you’ve already stitched!

Hi again – thanks for the recommendation. I will look for that book – maybe even the library might have it. ~smile~ Roseanne
