I made 4 travelling pillows in all. When my sister saw that I was making some, she asked for one … so, she got one.
I also made matching eye masks. The pillow is loosely stuffed with one pair of jogging pants, a t-shirt, a set of underwear and a sarong. The sarong I can pull out if I feel I need a bit of a blanket on the plane.
I don’t stuff them tight, because I like it to adjust to my neck / head when I’m ready to sleep. The button I used is a spool of thread (fitting, eh?).
My sister’s has a lady bug button. She sort-of collects all sorts of lady-bug things, so I thought it would be fitting for her!
My husband says that the travel pillows remind him of his grandma’s bloomers! Now … how do I get that thought out of my head as I walk through airports with the travel pillow bouncing on my backpack? LOL!!!

Bloomers! Oh no, now I see it too! These are great, and how smart to stuff them with clothes. Hope you are having a wonderful trip!

Hi Gail! These are so cool! Thanks for sharing them with us, and the eye patch too. That is pretty darn slick, storing the sarong right there in the pillow in case you need it. That button for your sister is cute and very thoughtful of you. I know she’ll smile and appreciate it very much. ~smile~ Roseanne

Ha ha! Really grandma’s bloomers in her bloomers – yup that thought will stick for some time. Love the idea of these though and am thinking I may need to whip up a few.

well bloomers are very versatile. My sister in law used to put a clip in her hair then put her underwear on her head to go to bed. I don’t know, maybe my brother in law liked it! It was an image I could never get out of my head.

That was a smart idea to stuff your travel pillow with clothing. Ha, they can’t get you for that! Extra baggage they can’t see!
