This was all of my 12 Classic Car colour blocks. They were so fun to make!
When you see the finished quilt, below, you will see that I obviously moved the blocks around.
Jen designed the borders and you can find the pattern on her website HERE. The border used Island Batik’s solid grey and solid black. Aurifil #2600 (Dove Grey) was the thread I used for the quilting. I did “Wild” or “Graffiti” quilting in the centre. The outside was quilted using Silly Moon’s Rocket ruler. Jen will be having a parade of all the finished quilts on January 15th.
And here is the finished quilt:

Jen will be announcing the 2024 Monthly Color Challenge on December 15!

What a gorgeous quilt! I need to get the December block sewn and put my quilt top together. It was a fun quilt along.

Thanks, Anja! It’s easy to fall behind … I worked ahead and had them done early. The border took ages, though! 🙂

I like the black borders. I used a white background and will use for borders too, but this quilt does not have priority so it’ll be awhile before I finish it.

Susan, using a white background and borders will frame the quilt nicely! It’s not a race, so I’m sure you’ll get it done eventually! 🙂

Thanks, Brenda! I knew from the start that I didn’t want to do a coloured border and favour one of the colours. The black and grey was the perfect solution! It was fun to quilt!
