A few years ago, Missouri Star Quilt Co. launched some new scissors. Here’s what they said about Amelia: These 8” scissors are sharp as a tack and handle the smallest threads like a pro. The scissors feature a textured, non-slip handle and comes with reusable packaging, making it perfect for storage and on-the-go crafting.

When I became a Missouri Star Affiliate, I was able to choose some items from their website. I had fun “shopping” and chose a lot of neat goodies. Missouri Star included a pair of Amelia scissors, without me requesting them.

I was sceptical at first. It appeared that all of the Island Batik Ambassadors that applied, received the scissors. So, what’s wrong with them? Why have they given each of us a pair?

Here’s my opinion: They are wonderful!! They glide through several layers of fabric with ease. (Yup, I put them to the test!) They are definitely “DO NOT CUT PAPER” with these! And of course, now that I’ve tried them out, I’m in LOVE 🩵 And the pale teal colour makes my heart beat faster!

With the plastic case they come in, they will be great to add into my ‘traveling’ sewing machine supplies!
