We have company at our home – so very little sewing for me. However, 12 year old Miss Claire, coloured the fabric on her last visit here. This week, she put in the zipper and sewed the bag together. She did an awesome job! And it was a lot of fun to help her along the way!

Beautiful finish! I’m hoping one of my grandsons will want to see. Neither of my kids were. My daughter in law might be interested when the kids are older. Have you seen the kids quilt along that Sarah of Sarah Goer Quilts and Sarah of Berry Barn Designs are doing this summer. She might be interested.

I love to see young people sewing and quilting. My aunt taught me to sew on her old treadle machine many years ago and I never lost my love for making things. It is like money in the bank…always there if you need it.

Beautiful job! I wish my daughter had taken an interest in sewing when she was young. It took until she was in her 20’s for the bug to hit she now has one of my older sewing machines and has “borrowed” some of my stash at times… I’m still waiting for all my green fabrics to return! I hope the little one enjoys the processes and keeps sewing! We need to keep teaching the younger generation

Cute! It is great that you are teaching the next generation. So far one of my sons is mildly interested in my longarm, because it’s such a monster.
