I need a new project to start! I do! I do! I really do! Honestly, I do!
I’m tired of quilting this one quilt … it’s almost done, but I’m tired of it! I refuse to start quilting another quilt until this one is done done done!
SEW … there are the left-over blocks from my Orca Bay quilt. Yes, these ones in the picture … I don’t want them hanging around for ages … having to move them and wondering what do do with them. So I have a plan … we’ll see if it gets done!

Hang in there! Maybe try 15 minutes of stitching time on your old project, then do something new? That works for me when I’m trying to get something finished and I’m tired of it.

Thanks, Kate! I had to chuckle … I often tell people to just sew for 15 minutes … hmmm … I guess I need to take my own (and your) advise! Happy Quilting! 🙂

Really love the quilt design, but I do suggest wait for the time.

I love how we quilters justify starting new projects! I’m so curious to see what you’re up to with those Orca Bay leftover blocks!

Hi Sandra … you’ll just have to wait … perhaps you’ll see the results in a day or two! (or a month or two). 🙂 Happy Quilting!

You must have the same disease the rest of us seem to be down with right now. I have just wanted to start all the things and ignore all the things already started!

Hi Chris, I wonder if it’s a result of spring fever … everything is starting to come out of hibernation … Whatever the reason … it’s happening! 🙂

I tend to call those projects ‘squirrels’ – they dart into our space, and make us chase them!

LOL – oh Susan … that is sew funny … squirrels … yup … I’m chasing after the newest project! Happy Quilting! 🙂

Sew…you’re not actually ‘starting’ a new project, just putting one aside for a break and picking up where you left off on another one? I do that too..watch for this Sundays post 😉

Actually, using up rejected blocks to make something is a new project for me … I want those “left-overs” gone! And, I hate it when left-overs go mouldy! I will watch for your Sunday post! Happy Quilting, Cuz!

Hi Gail,
You do need a new project! A quickie one, and it sounds like you already have a plan and vision in your head. Go forth and make it beautiful, and then show us! ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your permission to stray from the “Must finish the UFOs” focus and take a bit of time to breath a change of air! 🙂 I don’t know about making it beautiful – but hopefully it will be done! And then I’ll show you! Happy Quilting!

I always think new projects are more exciting to start than finishing old ones. Look forward to seeing what you make. Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.

Hi Julie! I know that starting new projects have gotten me into a lot of trouble with the number of UFOs that I have. That’s why I’m totally determined to decrease the UFO number and finish every project I start this year. (hence my “PHD in 2018” challenge!) Happy Quilting!
