Half way there!

Yes!  I have half of my UFOs completed!  whoo hoo!!!  Yes!

I finished the binding on this quilt on Friday!  It sure helps to have concentrated time to just work on one project!

You’ve seen snippets of this quilt, but not the whole thing.   It’s not a great picture  … I usually prefer to take pictures of my quilts hanging on the clothesline.  The sun came out for a brief moment after the binding was finished.  When I figured the patio was dry, I took this outside and got a quick picture.

  2. Congrats on your finish! I LOVE those yummy free motion feathers and you can never go wrong with orange peels. You are half way to your PhD goal and we aren’t even half way through the year, give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.

    • Thanks, Tish! I love doing feathers & my second favourite is “C” – which most people know as orange peels! Thanks for encouraging me to give myself a pat on the back! Happy Quilting! 🙂

  4. Hi Gail,
What a great finish, and I’m glad to see the whole quilt instead of those little sneak peaks! Yay you! Halfway finished and it’s only the beginning of April. That really is great, and this wasn’t an easy peasy finish either. Woot woot. I’m going to check out that link – thanks for sharing it. ~smile~ Roseanne

    • Hi Roseanne! Thank you! You’re correct – for some reason, I did struggle with quilting this quilt. But it is done and I’m happy with it! Yes, do check out the link … she has a lot of patterns. They are well written and easy to follow. Happy Quilting! 🙂

    • Thank you, Karen! The quilt is more burnt orange than red … and although I struggled with the repetitiveness of the quilting, I’m happy with the end result! Happy Quilting! 🙂

  7. Love your quilt and congratulations on your accomplishment! I didn’t put a number to my UFO’s this year but I have been pretty dedicated to finishing them instead of being tempted to start anything new.
