Sunday Summary: September 28

Yes, I finally finished this quilt. It took a LONG time to quilt, but I enjoyed every minute of it! You can read all the details HERE.

I have started the Christmas train that Simina from Essem convinced me that I needed to make. I’ve started webbing it together.

There is a bit of progress on the quilt … Week 1 & 2 are done, Week 3 is started (the flying geese) and Weeks 4 & 5 will be started soon. You can access the Mystery HERE

Kate, from Life in Pieces, is hosting “Stitching Stuff” and the goal is to sew for at least 15 minutes a day. I use Kate’s guideline, but my personal goal is to sew for 30 minutes a day. On those “blah” days, it does motivate me to sit at my machine and 30 minutes often turns into several hours. Thank you Kate for the motivation!

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “What’s on your Design Wall” every week.

Piecing projects:

  • Laundry Basket Mystery: Weeks 3, 4 & 5 (1 & 2 are done, the flying geese for #3 are done, but not sewn together, #4 &#5 are not even cut out.

Quilting projects:

  • Teal blocks are sandwiched and need to be quilted. (Sorry, only a picture of one of the blocks)

Donna at Quilt Paint Create hosts a weekly linky party where you can display your stash numbers. This has really kept my stash from growing (somewhat!) Before I buy anything, I am always mindful of the fact that I need to report it on my blog … That sometimes stops me in my tracks!

  1. Love the wedding quilt! Great finish. I really love that train quilt too and look forward to seeing it finished. So fun. You need to put Rudolph in it like the monkey in the other one! It is just so cute, I may have to try making one of those. Your Laundry Basket mystery is going to be so pretty. I totally agree with your meme this week, hey I may even resemble that one! LOL Have a great week. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.

    • Thanks, Brenda!! It was a fun quilt to quilt. I will put something in the window … it might not be Rudolph, but it will be Christmas! Thanks for hosting Monday Musings!

  3. Bet it didn’t take much convincing to make the Christmas train quilt. It is adorable. I’m impressed by how many projects you are juggling simultaneously.
