Any Which Way Mystery Quilt: Clue #3

Gather:  9 Contrast #1 Squares and 9 Background Squares

Make Half-Square Triangles.

Mark each background square diagonally down the centre.  (see Blue line on the diagram).

Place (1) Contrast #1 Square, right sides together with (1) Background square.

Sew ¼” away from the marked centre line.  (see Red lines on the diagram)

Cut down the middle – on the blue line.

Press towards the Contrast #1 triangle.

Trim to 6 ½”  square.

Repeat with the other (8) Contrast #1 squares. Yield 18 Half-Square Triangles.

  1. Oh Gail — you just made my day. I’ve held off starting this but today was a basic game changer for me. I recently bought the 6.5″ hst die for my Go Cutter. BONUS! I’ll be able to use this to make these blocks. Sorry to admit I am trying to finish 2 quilts by the end of the year so I won’t be starting it quite yet but as soon as those two quilts are done I’m on this. Will contemplate fabrics while stitching today. Thanks for this mystery.
