Sunday Summary: July 27

This is ALMOST all true!! However, I don’t think I’ve EVER tidied the sewing studio to avoid starting a new project!! I might tidy before starting a new project so that I can a) find space on my ironing board or b) find space on my cutting table or c) find space to actually work on the project!

These placemats were completed for a “Christmas in July” blog hop. See HERE for more details.

Kate, from Life in Pieces, is hosting “Stitching Stuff” and the goal is to sew for at least 15 minutes a day. I use Kate’s guideline, but my personal goal is to sew for 30 minutes a day. On those “blah” days, it does motivate me to sit at my machine and 30 minutes often turns into several hours. Thank you Kate for the motivation!

  1. “sewcrastination” is a perfectly apt description for the choices most of us make. lol. Your Bloomers block always make me smile Gail and I can’t wait to see your crazy quilt with all of those gorgeous fabrics. Thank you for joining ToDo Tuesday. Hope this week has been as productive for you. 😁 Carol

  2. I agree with your meme today…all true for me except maybe the last one. Your Bloomers project is coming along nicely and I really like your placemats. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.

    • Thanks, Brenda! When I was looking for quilting ideas, a friend of mine told me to “Scroll” Pinterest and Instagram … so I do it occasionally when I’m stuck!

  3. Your “Bloomers” are blooming very nicely! Batiks always make such pretty applique blocks. Your RSC projects remind me that I haven’t looked at any of mine this year. I need that “resisting squirrels” reminder regularly too!

    • Thanks, Vivian!! If you haven’t looked at any of your RSC projects … you have a few choices … 1) you can skip this year 2) you can start now and finish the rest of the year or 3) you can start now and play ‘catch up.’ Hmmm … I wonder which you will choose? LOL!!

  4. Sewcrastination is a something I suffer from 24/7. I would much prefer sewing than cleaning or organizing or cooking or . . .
