A Practical Finish
I finished the Estrella bag!! I’ve used it for a few days and am LOVING it! Yes, I know that I put the “Handmade” in the wrong place, but at least it was easy to turn it over and put it right side up!

Stitching Stuff

Kate, from Life in Pieces, is hosting “Stitching Stuff” and the goal is to sew for at least 15 minutes a day. I use Kate’s guideline, but my personal goal is to sew for 30 minutes a day. On those “blah” days, it does motivate me to sit at my machine and 30 minutes often turns into several hours. Thank you Kate for the motivation!

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “What’s on your Design Wall” every week.
Piecing projects:

- “Bloomers:” I decided to use fabric from the Radiant Burst collection! And the main blocks are started with Eggwhite and Solid White. Here are blocks 1-5 (with #2 reversed). The Hexi and half Hexi blocks are done.
- Rainbow Scrap challenge, Teal fabrics …

Quilting projects:

- Splish Splash is webbed together and needs a backing, sandwiching and quilting.
- Purple for Rainbow Scrap Challenge : It’s sandwiched
Sunday Stash

Donna at Quilt Paint Create hosts a weekly linky party where you can display your stash numbers. This has really kept my stash from growing (somewhat!) Before I buy anything, I am always mindful of the fact that I need to report it on my blog … That sometimes stops me in my tracks!
No purchases this week, but I used 4 1/2 yards for the orange/grey disappearing 9 patch and I don’t think I added in the fabric from the Estrella kit, so I’m not going to use those amounts.

- Fabric used in the last week: 4.5 yards
- Fabric Used in 2025: 154 yards. {49 yards of non Island Batik fabric}
- Fabric Added in the last week: 0 yards
- Fabric Added this year: 24.5 yards
- Net Fabric used: 129.5 yards

Your bag looks great, Gail. I really love that orange and grey disappearing nine-patch quilt. Your Bloomers quilt is coming right along. I look forward to seeing it finished!

Gorgeous bag! Color aligns right up with “Bloomers” and the webbed blocks. I’d say youve already done your RSC projects for “Teal”!
