Purple was the Rainbow Scrap Challenge for July. This is hosted by So Scrappy. I do know it’s August, and Teal is the colour for this month. But sometimes, things don’t get done right when I want them to and they need to wait to be finished! This is the Butterfly quilt from the book Picture Patchwork book by JoAnn Lepore. This is the 4th quilt I have made from this book. Hmmm … I think I highly recommend that you buy it!

And here’s a close up of the quilting. I used Rocket for the straight lines, and free motioned the curves on the dark purple and swirls on the lighter purples.

Hi Gail, I really love your quilting on the butterfly quilt. Having the curves in the dark and the swirls in the light adds consistency. It looks lovely. Thanks for linking up to FM Mavericks. Have a great weekend.
