Parade for the 2026 SAHRR

  • Size: 48 1/2” x 58 1/2
  • Fabric: Island Batik: Lumin Fabrics “Radiant Burst” by Jerry Khiev, along with the Egg White neutral and solid white.
  • Binding: Scrappy
  • Hobbs Batting: Heirloom 80/20
  • Aurifil Thread: 50 weight
    • Piecing: #2600 (Dove Grey)
    • Quilting: #2000 (light sand mako) on the cornsilk and #2370 (sandstone) on the rest of the quilt.
  • Silly Moon Rulers: Rocket, Beanie
  • Schmetz Needles: Universal 80/12
  • Oliso Iron

Rosie used leftovers from hourglass round to make stars for the corners and then added borders to bring it to QOV size.

Katie Y says, “I added uneven 9 patches and one of my larger fish to try to balance out the yellow.”

    • Thanks, Wendy!!! Our SAHRR team is certainly a fantastic group of talented ladies to work with! It’s always fun to do … and it certainly goes by quickly!!
      There is totally a wonderful variety of quilts that are created! I LOVE that part of the process!
