I’ve been trying out the arrangement of my sewing room. So far, just a few minor things have been moved around. And I’m loving it! If you missed the tour – check out this Blog Post.
Design Wall:
Piecing
It’s not quilt related. I’m working on some travelling neck pillows. I made them before, but didn’t have a loop/button at the front and it was a real pain in the neck to not have it. (did you get the pun?) As well, I’m making them a little bit longer. I put zippers in the top and we stuff them loosely with clothes. It gives us a little bit more room as we try to only travel with carry-on. These are being made out of flannel.

Neck pillow! What a great idea. I’ll have to look into making one. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.

Hi Gail! I’d love to see your finished new pillow. How interesting that you can stuff them with clothes, and I’m wondering what the loop/button is for?? Way back when I had an inflatable one that folded up really small. It came in handy for those long flights. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne,
I will post a picture of it finished and “stuffed”. The loop/button is for the front, so that the pillow doesn’t twist around. I’m looking forward to using it on my several long flights in the coming month(s).
Happy Quilting! 🙂

I wish I had a neck pillow for travelling. Could they make airplane seats any less comfortable?

Hi Donna,
They are super easy to make! All of the ones you buy are stuffed with beads or stuffing or foam … I figure that’s a waste of space! And no, I don’t think they can make them more uncomfortable! I have several LONG flights ahead of me and I’m NOT looking forward to the flights or the airplane food! 🙂
Happy Quilting! 🙂
