That’s right … I’ve been quilting up a storm … but nothing is finished … and that’s OK with me. (Well, some things are finished but I wrote about them HERE and HERE.)
I started 2 new quilts … one for a baby and one for big brother … with this fabric.
Of course, I have changed my mind about using this fabric for the baby and am going to finish a UFO for him. However, the one for big brother is moving along quite nicely … We had an “ugly” fabric challenge at the guild using THIS VIDEO… and started another, using it for the big brother quilt … Here’s what’s on the design wall …
I will put on a border and have a cute idea for the back … if I do it, I’ll definitely show you!
A Future Quilt
I saw this quilt … and I was tempted, very VERY tempted to drop everything and make it! (DrEAMI). But I resisted … for now … but I don’t think I’ll resist for very long! It’s a free pattern by Sew Fresh Quilts and you can access it HERE. As a Winnie the Pooh fan, I’m in LOVE with this quilt!
One who sleeps under a quilt is covered by LOVE!
Happy Quilting!
Gail

Awe, I don’t think I could resist that pattern either. Had I seen it before starting the patchwork square quilt with the vintage fabrics I would have made this.

Hi Denise,
That’s OK. You can always save the pattern and make it when you have time & the motivation!
Looking forward to seeing your quilt with vintage fabrics!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

No finishes but great progress! The big brother quilt is perfect–such little boy colors! And that Pooh quilt! I don’t see how you can resist it. I love Pooh.

Hi Gail! Winnie the Pooh! I even have some WtP fabric that I bought ages ago but haven’t used for the planned quilt (yet). How cute is that?! I definitely think you should throw caution to the wind and make that quilt right away. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Roseanne,
You are BAD!!! 🙂 You’re always tempting me to abandon all caution and dive in and make the cutest thing going!!! 🙂
Well – it’s not working … yet!
But it is a stinkin’ cute pattern, eh?
Happy Quilting! 🙂

I feel in love with that Winnie the Pooh quilt, too! I haven’t broken down and started it yet but I think it’s pretty likely I will! I like your blocks for big brother so far!

I recently watched the ugly fabric video and thought it looked like a fun way to use up some old stuff. Your quilt turned out great!

I had a very serious should I stop what I’m doing and make the Pooh quilt this week too! Both my kids were fans (still are) of Winnie the Pooh. My son had a stuffed Winnie (still does, packed away) that went with him everywhere. I definitely need to make at least one Pooh quilt, maybe two! Just for fun. I’m sewing too, but no finishes this Friday either –

Hi Wendy,
I’m glad that I’m not the only one that’s in love with the Pooh quilt!
Maybe, we’ll be making it at the same time … perhaps in the near future!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

No wonder you almost started the Winnie the Pooh quilt. How adorable is that I am a big Tigger and Eeyore fan. Is there a trick to getting the tutorial? I look forward to seeing your quilt when you drop everyting and make it.
