Oh WOW! It seems like this month has flown by! And how can that be? We’ve had a travel restriction for most of the month. We haven’t gone anywhere. We haven’t been visiting friends … but the time has gone by ….
This month’s challenge for the Table Scraps is the colour purple. And I made this coaster (similar to others I made) … eventually, I will have a very pretty collection! The embroidery pattern is a free pattern from Kreative Kiwi.
And … since I did Drop Everything And Make It … it also qualifies for this month’s DREAMi!
Yes, the coaster is made with Island Batik fabric and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

UFO Progress
Ugg … somethings take a lot of time! I was hoping to have this finished by today … but I have to do some unsewing! Do you see what the problem is? Thankfully, I hadn’t quilted those last 2 blocks on the right!

I was Featured
Susan, from Quilt Fabrication featured this quilt: (you can read about it HERE).

Have a great weekend!
One who sleeps under a quilt is covered by LOVE!
Happy Quilting!
Gail

Another beautiful coaster Gail. Can you believe this heat wave?

Hi Carol,
This heat is unreal!!!!
We certainly aren’t prepared for it!
At least we have hydro and the fans are working!
Hope you’re doing ok!

I’m at the studio in Oyama. It was 47 in the shade on the deck last night at 6:30. I’m melting

Hi Gail! What a great job you did on your coaster. That purple rose is so realistic looking. I agree – this month went whooshing by way too quickly. How can it possibly be the last Friday in June already, and it’s now Saturday?!! Ohhhh, I’m so glad you noticed that little oops before you quilted it. That would have made an annoying panel that turned into a fabulous runner back to being annoying. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne,
You are so right … panels can be totally annoying and that would have been the straw that broke the camel’s back! But it’s on the “Fix IT” list! 🙂

That coaster is so pretty in purple, I’d be afraid to use it and get it dirty!!!

Thanks, Vicki!
I figure that if it gets dirty, I can use my washing machine! 🙂

Your coaster is beautiful. I need to take a look at the designs there. Yep, done something like putting the blocks in the wrong place. Sigh. It’s an easy fix (kind of) since you hadn’t quilted it. On to July! I wonder what color will come then?

Hi Bonnie, yes, it’s an easy fix – in comparison to some I’ve done!
As for July’s colour … I’m waiting eagerly! 🙂
