Please note that I will be posting this week’s SAHRR on Tuesday!
One Gift a Month Challenge

Have you heard of this challenge? I’m a sucker for challenges and blog hops … they all keep my creative juices flowing and they also keep me busy in my quilting studio. OK, I admit it, sometimes they keep me TOO busy!
However, as quilters, we sometimes need to have small gifts on hand … those secret gift exchanges … something little to show someone they are loved … you get the idea.
Days Filled with Joy is hosting this challenge. This month it’s a little basket that Pink Penguin has a tutorial for (See HERE). Since I just found out about this challenge last week, I’m not sure I’ll get this basket done before the end of the month … but it might be done in February! However, I have started it! The fabric is cut out and I started sewing the little blocks together. The fabric is Island Batik from the Deco Revival collection.

Are you going to join me in this challenge????
Stitching Stuff

Kate, from Life in Pieces, is hosting “Stitching Stuff” and the goal is to sew for at least 15 minutes a day. I use Kate’s guideline, but my personal goal is to sew for 30 minutes a day. On those “blah” days, it does motivate me to sit at my machine and 30 minutes often turns into several hours. Thank you Kate for the motivation!
- January: 29 / 29
- Percentage: 100%
Stash Report

Donna at Quilt Paint Create hosts a weekly linky party where you can display your stash numbers. This has really kept my stash from growing (somewhat!) Before I buy anything, I am always mindful of the fact that I need to report it on my blog … That sometimes stops me in my tracks!
I did finish 3 table toppers … They used Island Batik fabrics, Hobbs 80/20 batting and Aurifil thread #2600 (Dove Grey) for the piecing, quilting and binding.

I can still brag … !

- Fabric Used this week: 3 yards
- Fabric Used in 2023: 4 yards
- Fabric Bought this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Added this year: 0 yards
- Net Fabric used: 4 yards
Just an FYI: I do not count any fabric that is given to me (Island Batik), but this year, I am going to count it as fabric used.

Love those table toppers, Gail! I think Dove Gray is probably the color I use most in piecing as it just seems to go with everything well! I have some of the Retro Revival (though I didn’t know the name of the collection until now!) in my stash builder strips that I’m using for my SAHRR! I can brag too!! I can’t remember when the last time I bought fabric was…probably sometime last year! Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!

Thanks, Brenda! I use Dove Grey for a lot of quilting as well as piecing! I didn’t know they had put Deco Revival in the stash builder strips! It’s a pretty awesome fabric collection!
Thanks for hosting Monday Musings!

It may not be Deco Revival, but it surely looks like a few of those fabrics you used?? I wish the stash builder strips had the names of the collections in them, but that would probably be too much of a hassle to do! I love those little rolls of fabric!!

It could be Deco Revival … but if you seriously need to know, tag Natasha or Elizabeth on the IBA FB page and they’ll tell you …

I love all your projects. Congrats on finishing the table toppers. Keep thinking about joining your round robin, but I got a little carried away in January and joined 3 QAL. I wish you many successes this week.

In the dreary month of January – it’s not too hard to quilt every day! And avoiding the quilt stores helps me to not buy anything! 🙂
