I told you earlier this week that I was joining a challenge called “One Gift a Month.” I showed you the start of the project.
Well, I worked on it for a bit and finished it!

It was an easy project to make! If I were to make it again (if I remember this), I would make the boxed corners on the lining about 1/4″ larger so that the lining would be a bit smaller and fit into the main part of the basket without extra fabric floating around.
I used “Deco Revival” fabric from Island Batik. It was pieced, quilted and top stitched with Aurifil #2581 (Dark Dusty Grape).

Gail that basket is just the cutest! I’m looking at the fabric collections and thinking I might need to do some travelling to get some new ones this year. 😦

That would be the only reason I would plan on heading in to the city! Chilliwack is usually as close as I like to get 😉

Hi Gail, that is a really lovely basket and will make a great gift (to you or someone else :-)) You have made a note on how you would change it if you did it again. The trick now is to remember to read your post about it before you make it again! Thanks for linking up to Free Motion Mavericks.
