I’ve been working on a lot of projects and sometimes it seems like nothing gets done. However, I finally had the opportunity to sandwich this table runner and quilt it! My sister and I made them at the same time, via zoom. It was a Mystery table runner from Lori’s Country Cottage called Pot O’Luck. You can access the complete pattern HERE.
My sister started quilting hers and I followed her lead. There are a ton of pebbles in the background. Of course, by the time I had spent 10 minutes on the pebbles, I was groaning, complaining and contemplating taking them all out!! But I LOVED the texture on the grey fabric! So, I quit groaning and complaining (maybe …) and finished the pebbles. The straight lines on the intersecting portions went quickly, but I decided to leave the purple areas free of quilting.
I used Silly Moon’s “Rocket” to outline all of the colours. Wow! Do I ever LOVE ♥️ this ruler for straight lines! I think I use it on almost Every. Single. Quilt.
On the binding, I used a fancy stitch that resembles pebbles. Ta Da!! It’s done, done, DONE!!!

And, a close up of the quilting:

It’s usually me that gets my sister into trouble. But she is the wise one … she usually only works on one project at a time! 🫠

Pebbles definitely are a commitment, but I always love the texture they create. The gray binding and fun decorative stitch are great choices. I bet you’ll really enjoy getting to use this runner!
