Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Design Wall

No piecing … but I’m having fun quilting the Wonky Logs quilt!  Craftsy / Blueprint is free this week. My cousin Terry told me to watch “Wild Quilting.”  Oh, it was an excellent class!  I don’t have a tone of wide open spaces to apply her techniques but I did take notes!  However, if YOU are interested in Free Motion Quilting – I would advise you to watch this class!

I know that I said I wouldn’t use straight lines in this quilt … but as you can see in the green square, I changed my mind!  I’ve got about half of the blocks done!  Six more to go!

  1. Your quilting is looking wonderful-going to have a great finish soon. I agree Wild Quilting is wonderful!!! Even if you don’t use the whole concept she does you can dissect it and use parts of it here and there.

    • Hi Vicki,
Yes, Christina Cameli, is full of many many ideas and hints! … hmmm … I wonder if I could swing down to Portland to take a class with her? …
      Happy Quilting! 🙂

  3. I love what you did with the quilting!! It looks fabulous!
I’ve been working on a delectable mountains quilt (yes, from my PHD list) and really struggled with what to do with the mountains themselves.
I’m glad you liked the class. I wish Christina Cameli had a book to compliment that class…perhaps someday…

    • hi Terry … I know C Cameli has a couple of books out … I also started watching her 1st class on FMQ – she explains why she doesn’t have fingers in her gloves!
      Happy quilting! 🙂
