OK … so things are NOT roaring around here … they are plodding along … slowly …
If you want to decrease your UFOs … and not make your UFO list any bigger, Join me for your PHD in 2020! Check out this blog post for details … and scroll WAY down for the linky party so that you can join in! You can join in on the PHD in 2020 until Jan. 14. Then on the 1st and 15th of each month, there will be a linky party for you to show your progress.
Here’s a Tally of My finishes for 2020 (there are none!) Yes, I have started 2 secret projects … and when I looked at my UFO list, I realize that I am currently working on 5 of them! I think I need to re-focus and lower the number … Ode to 30s is ready to quilt, Summer Solstice is worked on for ½ hr/day, Fr General Layer Cake is one of my Leader and Enders, along with Frolic … and 52 blocks in 52 weeks is sitting on the sidelines at the moment.

Piecing:
Summer Solstice
I have 3 spikes done … at least sewing on this for ½ hr/day is giving me some progress.
Frolic: Bonnie Hunter’s Mystery
Part 6 is almost done. If you want to join in the mystery … the links can be found HERE
Last week I was pleased and surprised that I had completed each part before the next one arrived. Well, I shouldn’t have been tooting my own horn! Part 6 was barely started with Part 7 came along. Part 7 is cut and waiting to be sewn …
52 Blocks in 52 weeks
No progress at all
Quilting:
Ode to 30’s is ready for quilting. But quilting hasn’t started. However, the binding is made!

I love the colors in the mystery quilt. That light green really caught my attention.

Thanks! That green is left-over backing material … I’m hoping I have enough!

I’m learning focus is really the key to getting projects moved off the UFO list. But you’ve done well even with the longer list. Hope this week is really, really productive. Thanks for linking up with the 15 minutes to stitch this week.

You are rolling full speed ahead for 2020! Summer Solstice will be “to die for”, and I am anxious to see how your Bonnie Hunter Mystery comes out!
By any chance are your secret projects Island Batik projects? I know…you probably can’t say.

Hi Deana,
Thank you … Bonnie Hunter’s mystery is coming along …
And, YES, the secret projects are Island Batik! I couldn’t say it when the post went live, but they announced it shortly after … so now, I can tell the world! 🙂
Happy Quilting! 🙂

Hi Gail! I am sorry you didn’t make as much progress as you wanted to on your to-do list. I was really easy on myself for that very reason – I never know how my time will be spent when I’m not in control of it. HAHA! Thanks in advance for linking up – at least I didn’t forget to say it like I usually do. Also, thanks for reminding me of the 52 blocks – I missed printing the last two weeks so I am all caught up with that. Not sewing yet but printed anyway. ~smile~ Roseanne

Well, I admit last week was a bit over what I figured I could do! But that’s OK … I did make progress on several things, and didn’t waste time on the computer! 🙂
Thanks for hosting “To Do” … it is a great motivator!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

My year is definitely starting slow. I need to revisit my UFO list and see where I’m at. I’ll bet you’ll get more things checked off this week!

Hi Wendy,
I’m OK with not getting everything checked off! I know that I’m making progress on a lot of things, and that’s what’s important!
Have fun revisiting your UFO list!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

“Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off,” wrote Gladys Taber. Seventy+ years later that’s still true–and you deserve to be contented! Hope things go as well for you as January really gets going this week.

Hi Nann!
I LOVE the quote! And it’s SEW true! With half a list crossed off – that means that half of it got done! Perfect!
Thank you!

Hi Pamela,
Thank you!
If you sew for a little bit on your project – each time you sit at your machine – you WILL have progress. That’s all you need is some progress! That’s better than that UFO sitting languishing in a container! 🙂
Happy Quilting! 🙂

Working on those projects will lead to finishes eventually. Hang in there!
