The last block for the Daisy Chain Mystery is up. The clues had me guessing until the very last minute!!! It’s a great mystery! Thank you, Little Bunny Quilts!!!
So, I pieced the last blocks together and I was so excited to see this quilt put together, I didn’t take any pictures of the block until the quilt was sandwiched! T
These “cross” blocks pieced together very quickly! All the units were previously put together, so it was very easy to do!
Once I had the blocks done, I was eager to see how my quilt would look. SEW … I put it all together. The instructions tell you to pay attention to the orientation of the “star” blocks and the “cross” blocks. Amazingly, I did pay attention and I didn’t have to reach for my seam ripper!!!! Perhaps, I’m learning to follow directions?
I decided to quilt it right away. I felt like quilting and had nothing else ready to quilt. Graffiti quilting was fun and I like the effect of flowers, swirls, feathers, McTavishing and tear drops. Hobbs 80/20 batting and Glide thread were used to finish this quilt. Thanks Alison for this wonderful mystery!
Design Wall
Piecing
This Fractured Paint Brush is a UFO from 2016. All of the triangle blocks have been pieced and I’m in the process of joining 4 triangles to make each square. Then I’ll lay it out on the design wall guest bed and decide what the final layout will be.
Everything else I’m piecing is a secret – for now! (3 other projects) …Nothing is at my machine being quilted.

that was a quick finish. Your shoulders must have been sore from all that quilting

No, they weren’t sore! I quilt for about 30-40 minutes, take a break, stretch, and go again … makes for pain-free quilting! 🙂 (I had to learn the HARD way!) 🙂

Hi Gail! What a pretty mystery quilt. I am so impressed that you got it together without issue – there are some tricky piecing there – and then went on to quilt it right away. No UFO gathering dust for you! Woot woot. And those fractured glass blocks look so fun as well. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne!
I was amazed that my seam ripper did not get to work out on this quilt … at least at the finish! I wouldn’t be honest if I said that this quilt never saw the seam ripper! I know it’s never far from me! 🙂
Happy Quilting! 🙂
