Last Monday in October

How can this be? Sometimes it seems like the days take their sweet time … and I turn around and it’s close to the end of another month!

SEW – What’s happening?

Piecing:

I’ve been slowly working on my Charming Bag. The last picture I showed was of it pieced together. (HERE). If you go back to the last picture, you’ll notice that the ties are not in the picture. That’s because I forgot them. Thankfully, I remembered before it was quilted … it was a simple matter of taking about 3/4″ stitching out and inserting the ties.

It is now quilted. Nice simple 1/4″ lines. I like the look … and it’s what the pattern suggests. Aurifil # 2625 (grey) was used for the quilting and the edges of the ties.

Quilting:

Quilted the above bag …

  1. You’ve done well with finding time to stitch this year. Your PHD progress is impressive too. Two months left to go in 2020 and you’ve gotten a great start on the stash management and UFO finishes. Hopefully that means you start 2021 in much a much better mood.

  2. I need to start a (new) to-do list. The pandemic through a wrench in my routine and plans. Now I’m slowly getting myself back on track.

  3. Good morning, Gail! Oh, I like the straight-line quilting on the bag pieces. Now I’m forward to seeing it all complete and together! It really is hard to believe that it is the last Monday or now Tuesday in October. Thankfully here, in one week the stupid election and all of the calls and commercials will wrap up. We may not have a winner (!!) but it will wrap up. Woot woot! Thanks for linking up this week and you are doing great on your UFO list. You are amazing. ~smile~ Roseanne

    • Hi Roseanne!
I know what you mean about the election. We just had one here and I voted at the advanced poll. I was totally sick of hearing all the bashing of each of them … On a much more pleasant note: Thank you for hosting “To Do” and Happy Quilting! 🙂
