YEAH!!! I have a UFO finish for Friday!

This bag is from the pattern “Charming Bag” and you can get it at Fibre Expressions. I believe that the designer is either the owner of the store or her daughter. Anyhow … you can order either the pattern or a kit. I used a Charm Pack called “Sew & Sew.”
Before, Covid, Fibre Expressions was at most of the quilt shows that I attended in the lower mainland. I would often see a quilt covered car outside of the show, but didn’t know it was theirs! Check it out HERE.
Here’s a picture of the side of the bag with one of the ties. The ties are super handy when you don’t have the bag stuffed full! (grin)

This is a nice easy bag to make and will be great when I go to guild meetings or to quilt shows.
This leaves me with only ONE, yes, ONE UFO to complete for my PHD in 2020! WooHoo!!! (well, yes, I do have new starts to finish as well …)

Someone asked me if I’d be running the PHD in 2021! And the answer is YES! I will have 14 UFOs left and so hopefully, I will get those done next year. I think it will be a wonderful feeling to NOT have any UFOs.
One who sleeps under a quilt is covered by LOVE!
Happy Quilting!
Gail

Hi Gail, congrats on your bag finish. I love the fabric, it’s so sweet. I hope you get to use it soon for quilt meetings and such. Wow, only one UFO left, but you also have to finish this year’s start also, right? Good luck with that. Thanks so much for linking up to Free Motion Mavericks. Take care.

One UFO to go…you will do it! I have 2 and I am sure I can do, barring any unforeseen covid invasions in my studio. This bag is super cute and I know you will get great use out of it.

Only 2 – that’s quite doable with 2 months left in the year! Hopefully covid does not invade any of our studios!
Take care!

Yay! Great bag! I think I have a similar bag in the works that I need to finish, too! So glad you are doing this next year as I definitely have enough UFOs to participate again! And thanks for all your nice comments on my blog – I always read them, but can’t reply.

And what a cute UFO it is! When we do start gathering once again, we are going to be some seriously decked-out quilters with bags, quilts, pillows, zippy pouches, and more. LOL

Hi Gail! I am so happy to see this bag all together, and now to see what the ties are for. It’s better than anything I have imagined, and you already know you inspired a squirrel bag, too. Love how this finished off and it truly does make me want to make one for myself and all the people I know. WHO doesn’t NEED a cute bag in such a useful size?!! ~smile~ Roseanne

If you make it, I’m sure to see it the squirrel on your blog! 🙂

By the way, I love the colours in your bag! You will be amazing how handy it is. I use mine for grocery shopping. It holds a multitude of the big bulky yet light things …. crackers, bread etc.

Another great finish! How many UFO’s did you complete this year? The purses I make have ties on the side, I love that you can pull the purse smaller when don’t have it shoved full, LOL

Thanks, Vicki!
I’ve finished 17 UFOs!!! One of them turned into 3 smaller quilts and another turned into 2 quilts … those 5 counted as 2 UFO finishes … so in all, 20 quilts or projects were finished!
Yes, the ties are PERFECT on the side!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

Oh Gail I love this bag. It is beautiful and truly an inspiration to me. Congrats on another finish. Only 1 more UFO? I am impressed and will not admit to counting the projects in my To Be Quilted pile 🥴

Hi Carol!
Ah, perhaps you need to join in the “PHD in 2021” … that’ll keep you on track! 🙂

You are probably right Gail. I did start the PHD in 2020, but fell off the tracks with recording things when my laptop died and I lost so many files and photos. 2021 might be the year I can get back on track 😉

Hi Carol! As long as there are UFOs, there’s opportunity to finish them! LOL
